Through contributions from the PS 122 community, the PTO funds projects to enrich the educational experience of all students. We're a 5013c not-for-profit so every dollar goes towards these projects. 

Make a one-time donation or set up a recurring monthly contribution. Since 2019 our goal is to have every family contribute $122 dollars. This can be broken down to $11 a month.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

Twice a year we reach out to school families and staff for donations to enhance the high level of education for our children by providing vital enrichment programs, supplies, and teacher and classroom needs. The more funds we raise, the more we can give to all of our children.

TADA! Youth Theater provides young people with musical theater programs that inspire them to learn, be creative, and think differently through high-quality productions, positive youth development, and education programs.

Kidspire offers unique learning experiences for kids through hands-on architecture and design projects. “We develop spatial reasoning skills by engaging children in fun 2D to 3D construction challenges that build a deeper awareness of the environment around them. We inspire our students to stand at the intersection of their art, history, social studies, math, science lessons, and develop new connections.”

Dance Matters cultivates essential life skills in children through the joyful art and practice of dance.

The Little Orchestra Society empowers students to work collaboratively and learn to compose their own new music, which is performed by professional musicians.

Art House Astoria brings high-quality visual and performing arts education for all ages and abilities to Astoria and the surrounding Queens area.

LCT Shakespeare Program engages students in activities that allow them to explore and embody Shakespeare’s words in creative ways, working towards a culminating group project.

Astoria Film Festival Education & Outreach focuses on building skills, experience, and connections with dynamic, artist-led filmmaking workshops.

Teachers & Writers Collaborative brings an interactive writers-in-the-schools program with a 50+ year history of delivering innovative creative writing programs that increase access to the arts, build community, and amplify youth voices.

Donors Choose provides opportunities for teachers to enrich their PS 122 classrooms to bring more resources to their students throughout the academic year. Contributions to the PTO support its ability to fund projects that might otherwise fall short of their goal.
