Mindfulness Monday: wore BLUE, took 2 minutes during the day & practiced deep breathing
Think Positive Tuesday: wore YELLOW, each class was given a "ray of sunshine" and each student wrote a positive message on it
Wonderful Wednesday: wore PINK, gave someone a compliment or wore something that reflects respect
Thankful Thursday: wore GREEN, during 1st period students shared what they're grateful for
Friendship Friday: wore MATCHING OUTFITS with a friend, a few friends, or a group

For the 2nd year, the PTO delivered over 4000 wooden roses to classrooms, students, and staff to celebrate friendship and caring.

The UFT held a virtual workshop about the information included in the different sections of an IEP, reviewed special education services, and provided guiding questions to help craft an IEP.

Through Participatory Budgeting in New York City (PBNYC), community members directly decide how to spend at least $1,000,000 in participating Council Districts.

To celebrate all the hard work your students have put in this year, District 30 invites you to a day of fun for the whole family.
You have a vital role to play in electing a strong Education Council that can successfully advocate for your school. There are 50 candidates and 7 of them are part of our PS122 community.
The Panel for Educational Policy, or PEP, allows for parent involvement on a citywide level. Responsible for significant decisions affecting the education system, the panel votes on the Chancellor’s proposed education policies and advises the Chancellor on general matters affecting the city’s school districts and its students.
There are so many exciting projects to choose from this year…from a pedestrian space on 21st and Astoria Blvd, to mobile science labs for public schools, to a girls basketball Team at the Boys & Girls Club. Vote for your top three projects on the capital page and three more projects on expense ballots page.
To support our students who are fasting in observance of Ramadan, there will be a designated table outside of the cafeteria for anyone who decides that they would like to sit separately from students who are eating lunch.
Shine this summer with STEM! Students entering kindergarten through grade 12 in September 2023 can apply now to attend enrichment programs with STEM Matters NYC. Get your hands dirty in the garden, encounter amazing animals, or design an art or engineering project.

Cascon Bakery is a local, family-owned business that has been open since 1975. Their 7″ cheesecakes come in 5 flavors.. To order, return the order form and payment to your child’s teacher by December 12th. A portion of each sale supports the PS 122 PTO.

The Meadow Farms fundraiser will kick off on 11/1. The PTO receives 40% of the profits which will help raise funds for enrichment programs, teacher equipment requests, and grocery and field trip assistance for families in need.
Join us for Halloween fun sponsored by District 30 Superintendent Composto’s Office. Attendees are welcome to wear costumes and visit all the “trunks” for treats sponsored by schools and government offices in our district.
We're happily accepting allergy-friendly candy donations for the event. All items must be store-bought and individually wrapped for safety. Please avoid donating any candy with nuts. Donations can be dropped off in the PS122 lobby on Thursday or Friday, October 27th or 28th.
